Dr. Linda Papadopoulos is one of the most well-known and respected Psychologists working in the UK today. As well as an accomplished academic career where she set up and headed successful post-graduate programmes, she is also an active researcher and was at one time one of the youngest Readers in the country based on her international academic publications. Her work has informed government policy, in 2010 she headed up a highly acclaimed independent review for the Home Office on the effects of sexualisation on young people. She was recently invited to present her research at the European Parliament in Brussels. 

Dr. Linda is a Chartered Counselling and Health Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the BPS.  She has worked in various treatment settings both privately, with her own practice and in the National Health Service.  During her 18 years as a Chartered Psychologist, she has gained extensive experience in the counselling of individuals, couples and families. She was recently included in the Top 20 therapists in London by the Evening Standard newspaper and was awarded the Madame Figaro Women of the Year Award in the field of academia.

Over the past decade Dr. Linda has become one of the most well recognized faces on TV. Her comments regarding the psychology behind news and current events are often syndicated by the press and discussed by TV and radio networks both in the UK and the US.   She is a regular commentator on psychological issues in broadcast, radio and print media. She was part of the original Channel 4 team on the reality TV phenomenon “Big Brother” and went on to host the Channel 5 shows “Doctor Doctor” and “Double Cross”.  She has fronted factual segments on ITV’s This Morning, BBC’s The One Show and has also presented programmes and provided professional psychological commentary for numerous American and International television and radio networks including CNN, CBS, Discovery, CNBC, BBC International, VH1 and MTV to name but a few. The 3rd series of Dr  Linda’s show “My Naked Secret” airs internationally on Discovery TLC.  Another recent project “Inside the Mind of" has just finished airing on Discovery International. She also fronted “Autopsy: The Final Hours” which is currently airing in the US and she has just finished filming “The Science of Thrills” which will air in the US and world wide in the autmn of 2016. 

Dr Linda has a prolific academic publication record, she has published widely in peer reviewed academic journals. She has a specialist interest in body image and in the field of Psychodermatology where she has written extensively both for lay people and clinicians. Her edited text titled Psychodermatology, published by Cambridge University Press is considered seminal in the field.  Indeed Dr. Linda has written several academic and self-help books many of which have been translated into numerous languages, her latest book Whose Life Is It Anyway: Living Through Your 20’s and Beyond has received excellent reviews and drawing from its success Dr. Linda was invited to do a TEDx talk in London in May 2015. Her advice on psychological matters is often syndicated around the world.  She was a contributing editor and wrote a regular column for Cosmopolitan magazine for 15 years and also writes psychology and life style features for, and is regularly quoted in, various national newspapers, supplements and magazines.

With a prolific and distinguished career that she loves and which keeps her very busy, Dr. Linda values her free time with her husband and their daughter. As a psychologist and as a mother Dr Linda is passionate that young women develop a healthy self-esteem and body image.  Her philosophy is that feeling good about yourself, your passions and achievements inevitably leads to looking good and most importantly liking who you see in the mirror…
