As a director, Tom Wisnosky (DGA) thinks of himself as a storyteller first and a juggler second. Whether he’s directing a “cast of thousands” during the live 6-hour Countdown to Super Bowl XLVIII or a crew of 10 for a Wynton Marsalis interview, Tom succeeds because telling the story well means keeping several creative, albeit metaphorical, balls in the air.

In addition to directing – or telling stories – for ABC’s Good Morning America Weekend and The Dr. Steve Show, Tom has directed live, live-to-tape and pre-recorded programming for ABC, PBS, Discovery, Tribune Media, and private clients. He collaborated with Peabody and Emmy award-winning journalist, Bob Woodruff on Focus Earth with Bob Woodruff for Discovery’s Planet Green Channel.

Tom has directed lifestyle segments for Victoria’s Secrets, cooking segments with Bobby Flay and Rocco DiSpirito, celebrity interviews with Sean Connery, Bruce Willis and Jennifer Lopez, pregame shows for the New York Mets and the New York Jets, a Super Bowl Parade for the New York Giants, and the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. He’s also adapted and produced live televised scenes from Broadway’s 42nd Street, Stomp, Rent, Hairspray and Little Shop of Horrors.

As a former session trumpet player, Tom’s love for music shines when he produces live performances for the likes of Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, Chuck Mangione, Dave Koz, Chris Botti, B.B. King, Andy Williams, Montgomery Gentry, Sammy Hagar and many others.

Oh, and about the juggling metaphor? In addition to his busy career as a director, Tom – like Clint Eastwood before him – served as mayor of the small town he calls home.
